Oh, Friday was National Coffee Day? ☕️
Had no idea. We don’t drink much of that around here… 😉
To celebrate the occasion, here’s some coffee talk, derm style.
For me, coffee and caffeine are best for a relaxing ritual and a buzz 🐝, but who knows where else they could give you a boost?
Consider the following possible bonus effects:
🧬 Coffee as an Antioxidant: Some compounds found in coffee help fight free radicals in your body, potentially reducing the risk of skin damage and premature aging. I recommend a topical Vitamin C serum as your workhorse for that, though.
👁️ Caffeine and Skin: Caffeine can be a wake-up call for your skin, too. Some skincare products contain caffeine because it can temporarily tighten and firm the skin, reducing the appearance of puffiness and fine lines. That’s why you’ll find caffeine as a popular ingredient in eye creams.
💈Happy Hair: Some people use coffee-infused products to add shine and enhance their hair color. The caffeine can also stimulate hair follicles, promoting hair growth.
💅 Nail Care: Coffee grounds can be repurposed for a DIY hand and nail scrub. Mix them with a bit of coconut oil for an all-natural exfoliating treatment. The caffeine may, if there’s any leftover, stimulate nail growth as well.
🐸 I like to reward myself with a cup after I eat the frog (getting done with my one thing for the day) in the morning. It serves as a great incentive.
Where are my coffee people? I love tea, too, especially when a tea person makes it for me. Tea with new friends in Nepal🇳🇵during my time there was always a memorable treat.
